We recently had the pleasure of attending the thoughtful and engaging City of Chicago 2025 Budget Engagement Community event. This gathering provided a valuable platform for discussing the city’s future budget plans and ensuring the needs of all Chicago residents are met.
One of the highlights of the event was bumping into Mariana Osoria, a founding member of the Original Illinois Unidos Steering Committee, who now serves as the First Deputy of Human Services for the City of Chicago. It was inspiring to see her continuing to make a significant impact in our community.
Additionally, we had the opportunity to connect with two remarkable nonprofit community leaders: Brenda Solorzano from Family Focus and Rosario Hernandez from the Latino Policy Forum. Their dedication and passion for advocating for our community are truly commendable.
Events like these are crucial for fostering collaboration and dialogue among community leaders, city officials, and residents. Together, we can work towards a better and more inclusive future for Chicago.
Thank you to everyone who made this event a success and for your ongoing commitment to our community’s well-being. We look forward to continuing these important conversations and working together to create a brighter future for all.
