Illinois Unidos has received its 501(c)(3) status!

We are delighted to share that IL Unidos has received its 501(c)(3) status! This milestone marks a significant step in our journey toward becoming an independent organization while continuing to align closely with ASI as our fiscal agent during this transition.

Established in 2020, IL Unidos is the largest statewide coalition in the U.S., consisting of 150+ Latinx healthcare providers, policymakers, experts, nonprofits, and leaders. We’ve impacted 500,000 individuals through community health worker networks, bilingual COVID-19 information, health policy advocacy, and equitable resource promotion.

With a dedicated board and staff, our focus is on capacity building, leadership development, and community-centered health policy efforts. Guided by grassroots leaders, we are committed to addressing historic health disparities within Illinois’ Latinx community, extending our services to northern Illinois.

This achievement is a testament to the unwavering support of our coalition members and partners. There is so much work to be done, and together, we will continue to drive meaningful change and promote health equity for all.
